Stillhouse Hollow Lake is a man-made reservoir located in Bell County, Texas. It was created in 1968 by impounding Stillhouse Hollow Creek. The lake covers an area of 6,430 acres and has a maximum depth of 107 feet. The lake is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and other recreational activities. It is home to a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, white bass, catfish, and crappie. There are several parks and campgrounds located around the lake, including Dana Peak Park, Chalk Ridge Falls Park, and Union Grove Park. These parks offer amenities such as boat ramps, hiking trails, picnic areas, and campsites. In addition to recreational activities, Stillhouse Hollow Lake serves as a source of drinking water for the cities of Belton and Harker Heights. The lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
